Dr Rahul Pathak is a British academic with extensive experience in postgraduate medical and healthcare education, forensic sciences, and academic leadership. He has led curriculum development and accreditation projects in UK universities, aligning programmes with professional frameworks such as the Academy of Medical Educators (AoME) and Advance HE (UK). Now based in Dubai, Dr Pathak continues to support educational institutions, healthcare providers, and corporate organisations in strengthening their educational strategies.

Founder's Profile
Dr Rahul Pathak is the Founder of AKARA Academic Insights. He is a medical doctor by background with an extensive and diverse career spanning clinical practice, forensic pathology, higher education, and academic leadership.
Beginning his career as a medical doctor, Dr Pathak worked in forensic pathology in Southern Africa, where he contributed to medico-legal investigations and collaborated closely with law enforcement and the justice system. He later advanced his expertise in the United Kingdom, completing a postgraduate qualification in Forensic Sciences from Glasgow (UK).
Dr Pathak spent nearly two decades in UK higher education, holding senior academic roles at universities in Cambridge and Chelmsford. As Programme Lead in the School of Life Sciences and subsequently as Course Director in the School of Medicine, he successfully managed and enhanced a range of postgraduate programmes. He led several courses through accreditation and reaccreditation processes with respected professional bodies, ensuring alignment with national and international standards while strengthening the overall quality of academic provision.
His professional affiliations reflect his longstanding commitment to education and forensic practice. He is a Member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, a Member and Assessor for the Academy of Medical Educators (UK), a Fellow of Advance HE (UK), and a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Medico-Legal Experts.
Alongside his academic leadership, Dr Pathak has contributed expert opinions to high-profile forensic cases and has been featured in newspapers and broadcast media for his specialist insights.
